While it’s no secret that  regularly posted content is one of the biggest keys to success for any blog, many bloggers find themselves behind the power curve when it comes to their posting habits. So lets look at at ways to make sure you and your blog always have fresh content for your readers.

Weekly/Monthly Planning and Schedule

By having a posting plan and a schedule of blog posts, you’ll have a sense of obligation to your blog and will not want to let it slip. Additionally, already knowing what you’re going to write about can ease the writing process. I keep a notebook, one dedicated to each of my blogs, with a weeks worth of blog headlines and a brief idea of what each will consist of on each page.

Writing Ahead

One of the ways I like to ensure I’m always on time is to always write my articles ahead. By the time you’re reading this article, I’m working on next Monday’s and WordPress will post it automatically at midnight for me.  This is a fail safe practice providing you stick to the schedule mentioned above.

Reserve content

We’re all human and there will be days that we just won’t be able to create anything for our blog: Long days at our “Day Job”, illness, family emergency, or spending too much time playing Call of Duty. Whatever the reason, its always a good idea to have some timeless content on reserve that you’ll be able to fall back on in any situation. I keep 10 articles in a folder on my desktop. When I’ve had to use one of them, I’ll add an additional writing task to my schedule for the next week. It is important to verify the reserve article is still relevant before posting it.

While these are not the only ways to keep my blog visitors equipped with fresh daily content, I’ve found them to work best. It is vital to find what will work for you and you will be one step closer to blogging greatness.

Writer’s Block And Ways To Avoid It

Anybody and everybody that has ever written a great deal, knows that some days the words flow smoothly and fast, and other days even getting a single sentence out is like pulling teeth.
